ROLE & TEAM

We are currently looking for Project management Intern who will Support the Manager in the Region for the Design, Build & Onboarding (Architecture, Design, Product, Construction & Onboarding) part of the business of Joivy, Design and execute the Short term lettings, Coliving & Student housing projects, both long and short term projects in Rent to Rent and Management contracts.

Here below are some examples of your core activities:

  • Deliver on time and on budget, track and report risks in a clear way. You ensure the production of the documents that our spaces can be built from, onboarded from and ready to operate.
  • Sourcing and management of Internal and External Stakeholders (suppliers, external architects and consultants in the Region). You work on all project formats in the Region in the built environment, including the quicker management contract onboarding projects which do not require construction or FF&E works.
  • Work may include any project work from Feasibility, Schematic design, Concept Design Development to Construction Project Management and Onboarding.
  • Do Value engineering & de-scoping as necessary on projects to reach the budget without compromising the product.
  • Sourcing/Procurement: You know how to quickly source and find a replacement solution, if a stock item is not available to install.
  • Coordinate multiple projects at one time during the year. You ask your Manager for priorities when unsure what to prioritize.
  • Develop in an efficient way construction budgets for projects.
  • Production of Design & Construction Development sets (including drawings and specifications

Job requirements

What you’ll need to be successful in this role if you have

  • A smart design thinker and project coordinator, making quality decisions for the business and the business unit. Able to use your initiative, be thorough and pay attention to detail.
  • Architect/Project Manager student who loves working during all phases of design & construction projects. Autocad, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office suite, Teams are your everyday tools.
  • You are aware or can quickly make research to find out about Local regulations such as Disabled spaces, Fire regulations, Building regulations, permits required etc.
  • You optimize time, costs and spaces and independently. You organize logistics, coordinating suppliers, Negotiating with contractors and suppliers, and keep track of spending.
  • You have good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus), can summarize emails, corporate documents, you are factual and data driven.
  • You can learn or already have experience in Tender and supplier management.
  • You can think 3-dimensionally, and you have a passion for both design and project management.
